Brian and I surprised the children on Christmas with airline tickets to Utah to spend a week with our extended family. Quite a lot of snow has fallen since our arrival, providing great pleasure for the children. We have built snowmen, snowforts, thrown snowballs and have had such fun sledding! It has been especially nice to be with family as we end this difficult year. On New Years Eve my parents, siblings and their spouses gathered together for a delicious fondue dinner. We enjoyed an evening of games, laughter and visiting. It was a wonderful way to ring in 2010.

What a fun holiday surprise! I am so glad you are enjoying yourselves up in the cold and snow.
What a memorable holiday we had with you! Sledding parties, shopping, movie-going, Wii games with cousins and down-time at home were so very enjoyable for our family. Our New Years Eve party will bring smiles thoughout the rest of the cold winter months until you return in the summer. Thank you for making our Christmastime celebration so much fun!
I'm so glad everyone had fun. And that Utah had snow for the kids. I loved the pictures of Caroline in her snow outfit, I couldn't see her little hands!

Happy New Year! What fun to play in the snow! We are snow jealous!
What fun to see these photos of your snow bunnies! It is a great thing for Texas children to have grandparents that live where it snows!
That is so sweet! A snowman for Sarah! I love it. I also didn't know Fillmore did that little lane. That is so neat.
