Treasure Hunt and Easter Egg Decorating

The children were so excited this morning for our annual Easter basket treasure hunt.  There were fifteen eggs hidden inside and outside of our home with clues that would lead them to their baskets.

On your mark, get set, GO!

Nathan and Maren took turns reading the clues.

The final clue led them to a map which directed them to the backyard where their baskets were hidden.

Caroline's tummy trouble got in the way of celebrating.  Her small amount of candy was replaced with a few lovable, soft toys.

Next came the egg coloring and decorating!

These cute, colorful eggs were made into delicious egg salad sandwiches for lunch.  It was a fun Saturday spent together at home.

What a wonderful day-before Easter tradition. The children looked like they were having a great time hunting for their darling baskets then coloring and decorating Easter eggs. Such caring parents to make this holiday weekend so special!

As always, every detail is thought of and executed to a tee. Very cute ideas and day! Those eggs look too good to eat. You have some artists.
