"He is not here, for he is risen, as he said."
Matthew 28:6
On this Easter Sunday our hearts are filled with gratitude for the atonement and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. "He breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory" Alma 22:14.
Early this morning while it was still dark outside, our family walked to Lake Anne to place flowers on Sarah's memorial bench. The sun rose as we gathered around her bench and reflected on Sarah's sweet life and the blessing we will have of seeing her again.

How beautiful! Happy Easter to you and your sweet family.
What a beautiful time of day to reflect as a family. I know your family will always treasure that spiritual moment.
Another beautiful tradition to have as a family each Easter morn. What important reminders of this sacred celebration! Thank you for this tender post.
What a special memory for your family!

What a neat tradition to start with you family. I'm sure they all felt peace and a stronger conviction of the reality of the resurrection through that experience. I like how you did the fun Easter Bunny stuff on Saturday and then focused on the Savior on Sunday. Good ideas I'd like to implement next year... I hope little Caroline's tummy is doing better.
What a wonderful reminder and source of comfort Easter can be to know that we will all live again and you will once again be reunited with little Sarah. I'm thinking of you. xo.
