As Mother's Day approaches, I feel joy and gratitude for motherhood. I am reminded of how important my role is as a mother. What a great responsibility I have to love, teach, nurture, and guide my children. I recognize that what I do each day determines the success and happiness of my family. I am thankful that I am not alone. I have so many wonderful examples of women around me who know how to mother. I also know that I can rely on our Father in Heaven. He will inspire, lift and encourage me as I go about this most important, sacred work.
I am thankful for a dear mother who has taught me through her example. Growing up in a busy home with five children, mom was always on her feet! She never complained about the daily tasks of caring for her family. She happily went about accomplishing her mile long list of to-do's which included everything from: Dinner, laundry, carpooling, church, sewing dresses and braiding hair! My mother always seemed to have enough time to attend our ball games, recitals, and any other activity we were involved with. Mom gave each one of us individual attention and always showed her love in special ways. I will be forever grateful for the life my mother gave me.

My sweet Christine, how kind your remembrances are. It's good that we choose to forgive and forget a lot as we mature. You are a wonderful example of what motherhood should be. Thank you for making me a mother and a very blessed grandmother. I love you. Mom
That is one sweet rocking chair. Mom hasn't changed a bit! You are a wonderful example, Christine.
What a nice tribute to mom. I've never seen that sweet picture before. She has her hair done and make-up on....much better mother than I am. :-) Happy Mother's Day to you!
Your mom is so beautiful. And I loved reading her comment. I hope my children forgive and forget all my cranky and not so competent times.
Absolutely beautiful. It was so neat to read this. You are amazing. (This is Rebekah Sellers, btw)
Christine,
How sweet your comments on motherhood and the wonderful things you said about your mother. You are both amazing women and I consider myself blessed to have you raising some of my grandchildren. How blessed we are to have you in our family and I am so grateful that Nathan, Maren, Sarah and Caroline have such a great mother as you. Brian made a wise choice when he found you to be his wife. Thanks for your strong example! By the way,
Happy Mother's Day!
Love, Rita
