Memorial Service

This afternoon our family attended a Houston Hospice memorial service. We joined other families who had lost loved ones through terminal illness during the past six months. At the service, pictures were presented of those who had passed away. When Sarah's picture appeared we were able to stand as a family to remember her.

What a wonderful moment to stand and honor Sarah. At first I was disappointed Brian was not in the picture, but since Car-whine looks so much like her daddy, I think that should count. -Carrie

I think that is so awesome that you were able to honor Sarah like that. I am sure it means so much to all of you. And aren't those doctors and nurses the most amazing people ever? I know when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2004, those nurses were the most special and amazing people I think I have ever met. At the end of it all i left crying and hugging them and felt forever in their debt. They served me and my family in so many ways.

Wow, what a great hospice service to continue serving families like that even after time has passed!
You always seem so strong, but I know that it can't be easy to keep smiling and moving every day. Thanks for your good example of faith in our Father's plan.

Hospice Nurses are truly angels sent from heaven. It takes a special person to work for Hospice.
I'm so glad that you are being actively engaged in keeping Sarah's memory alive! Also, fighting for a cure of this awful disease we call cancer.
We are so PROUD of your whole family. I am glad to see your children with you, it helps so much in the grieving process. Don't we know?
Stand-Up, Lead-Out!

I know this was a precious moment for all of you to stand and honor sweet Sarah. What immediately came to my mind as I read it was how healing this act is for your beautiful children who are learning about loss and grieving from you. You are doing all the right things to help them.
