In Loving Memory

Sweet little Sarah of mine,
I miss your sweet face--tender, fine...
As months turn to years, and time marches on,
I ponder and think of you,
Now that you're gone.

I released you to heaven, and sent you back home.
And now you're our angel-
In glory you roam.

I love our dear Father and trust in His grace,
I wish I could ask Him
To envision your face.

For now you're a woman and stronger than me.
I gave you your body...
But you gave Life to me.

I yearn so to hold you, to know you, to see-
Just what God our Father
Has blessed you to be.

For now I'll imagine, but feel of your spirit.
In days' solemn moments,
You'll touch, and I'll feel it.

As I cared for you-
carry me.
Until that bright day,
When woman to woman, our tears washed away...

I'll hold you and thank you
(My angel so fine...)
For short, precious earthlife-
Forever you're mine!

~Diane Probst (a second cousin)

Three years ago today, our precious Sarah left this mortal existence.  She was "taken home to that God who gave [her] life."  Sarah was received into "a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace" (Alma 40:11-12). Surrounded by family members who had passed on before her, I am certain Sarah immediately felt an abundance of love.  I imagine dear grandparents welcoming and embracing her into the beautiful post-mortal world.

Today we express our gratitude for God's plan of salvation.  Our hearts have found solace and comfort through the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.  We will see our precious Sarah again.  Our family will have immeasurable joy as we reunite and live together eternally.

I've thought so much about you and your sweet family. What a tender time this season brings for our families.
I love the conference talk given by Elder Wirthlin "Sunday's Will Come." With the unexpected passing of my youngest brother. Neil spoke on this very topic at his graveside service. My Mother now finds herself in the place I was at almost 10 years ago Jan. 9th, with our sweet Brittney. How grateful I am for this wonderful talk. I take with me everywhere. It brings me peace, comfort and hope.

May your family be blessed with peace and happiness the Christmas season and into the New Year!

We Love You All!!! Renee' and Don included!
I love Sarah's Tree!
