In Loving Memory

Although two years have passed, the memories of Sarah are ever with us, engraved in our hearts.  Today we reminisce on her life and the sweet example of love, patience, courage, kindness and faith she was to all who knew her.

"It is not the length of life, but depth of life."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

This morning the children and I participated in a fundraising walk at their elementary school.  The students are collecting money this week to help a fourth grade teacher whose husband has been diagnosed with bone cancer.  We were grateful for this opportunity to help someone who is currently battling cancer, especially today.  The fifth graders designed shirts in honor of him and wore them for the walk.

Nathan walked several laps with his good friend Landon.

Thank you family and friends for your thoughts and prayers today.  We feel your love and appreciate your support.  What a sweet surprise to find this delightful frog balloon tied to Sarah's bench.  Thank you to the anonymous friend who remembered Sarah today.

Loving grandparents decorate Sarah's spot in Provo, Utah.

What a tender way to begin the day with flowers and balloons for Sarah. I am certain she is aware of your thoughts and feelings today. We are planning a trip to her gravesite to place a wreath in her memory. We will never stop missing the sunshine she brought into our lives.

What a beautiful spot and how nice that your family could spend a few moments there together this morning. I am thinking of you all today and hoping you feel the comfort of your Sarah's spirit with you.

What a wonderful way to honor and celebrate the life of such an amazing little girl. I'm so touched with the balloon someone left attached to her special bench. Know that our thoughts are with you and your family today. I am thankful for the added measure of reverence that fills my home today. Love you.

Always thinking of you but especially yesterday. We love you and your beautiful family. How grateful I am for a loving Savior. When you visit Utah next you MUST go see the Carl Bloch exhibit on the Savior. I thought of Sarah and your family several times during the exhibit. It was a very spiritual experience for us. I know your family would love this....
