I was standing in the hallway of our church meetinghouse when a beautiful four-year-old happily skipped by. She glanced my way then gave me smile and friendly wave. For a moment my heart sank, knowing that if Sarah were here she would be the same size, wearing a similar cute dress and shoes and most likely skipping too. My moment of sadness ended abruptly as I entered a classroom full of twenty energetic two-year olds. I was tackled by two of them with hugs, another was eager to show me her baby doll. Who would have known that a heart could heal from a room full of beautiful, busy toddlers?
I am grateful for Sarah's little friends, that I can see them often and for a brief moment imagine her in their shoes. I am also so fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the most precious, adorable members of our church congregation. These little ones have blessed me with an abundance of love and have filled a portion of the hole in my heart.

You amaze me and I am eternally grateful for the love you showed Grant when you were in nursery in Austin! If it wasn't for you and your love to him, I am not sure what would have happened with him! Thank you and love you so much!!!
Oh Christine, they are so blessed to have you! I am so glad my little Chloe has you for a Nursery teacher. Thank you so much for all you do.
I'm so glad you find joy amidst the craziness of that nursery class--they really are sweet kiddos.
It's amazing how Heavenly Father knows just the right thing for each of us to help heal our hearts.
What a tender moment, enlightened by the abundance of life you are surrounded by. We can be so thankful for the relief of our suffering.
I look at the kiddos Stacy's age, too. I see Nathan, Chyna, Brittney, Landon, and Joseph and I love them all the more when I think how Stacy would love them. And I love love love watching Rebecca and how comfortable she feels with the big kids. It's a blessing to be involved in the life of any child.
