Thoughts on Easter

As we approach Easter Sunday, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. There is comfort in knowing that through His atonement "he breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory" (Alma 22:14).

This week we remember Sarah's passing four months ago. Our understanding and belief in the Savior's resurrection has given our family hope in the knowledge that we will live with Sarah again.

My friend and her husband who lost their 3 year old twelve years ago have been asked to speak on Easter Sunday. I cannot think of a better couple to testify of the hope contained in the Easter message of resurrection and eternal families. I'll be thinking of your family too. With all our love and continued prayers.

We thought of your family often as we listened to the inspiring words spoken at General Conference. Knowing your story will help our family better appreciate Easter for years to come. We're still praying for you. :-)

Easter will be more special this year with a greater focus on the resurrection. Thank you for your testimony. We love you!

By the way...I still can't figure out which pictures are you and which are Carrie. Maybe you could post the answers on your blog? or do you even know which is which? :-)

Christine, I was so sad to learn of the passing of your "Sweet Sarah" this past Dec. My mom called me to tell me about the viewing I only wish I could of been there to show you my support even after all these years have gone by.

The Savior is the only person to have made it possible so we can have our "Families Forever" I know with the passing of my sister Aimee almost 12 years ago I depended on this knowledge and understanding that we have as members of the LDS Church. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers as I know this is not easy and it never will be, but as time goes on the pain does subside. I love you very much and your family, I'm glad Carrie posted your blog on her facebook! Carrie's amazing. Jenny "Tate"

Christine,
I love all of your thoughts. You truly have a better understanding (as Maren said) of the realness of the gospel. I want you to know that since Sarah's diagnosis and passing, my life has been changed forever. I think of Sarah and your family everyday and wonder how you can be so strong. You are an inspiration.

I don't even have the words today. This has always been a difficult time for Neil and I. We had so many traditions. Now everyone is at college. After Sacrament Meeting we always go over to the cemetery. That is our tradition now.
My heart is full.....................May sweet quiet blessing fill the sore parts of your hearts this weekend.

Christine, I hope you know that I was just teasing you guys about the twin pictures?

Blessing of peace to your family this weekend!
Hugs so Tight! Tamara and Neil
