Sarah was laid to rest on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in the Provo, Utah Pioneer Cemetery. The previous night brought a blanket of white snow which covered the ground. The snow continued to fall throughout the morning. However, as we traveled to the cemetery following the Memorial service the clouds opened to blue skies and warm rays of sunshine.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful white, snowy day. Mark took some priceless photos. I would like a copy of the disk as well. One of my favorites is the one of Brian talking with Maren. What examples of faith you have been to us all. I love you so much.

What a fitting sendoff for sweet Sarah - the pure white snow, just as Sarah is. Your family has been in many many prayers from people around the world. God bless you all.

As it snowed that morning, I thought of you, and as the sun came up I smiled for you. I think of your sweet family and pray for you often.

Your family is so beautiful in every way. I am really glad that we got to be there. My good little Hunter said "Mom I wasn't bored at all. It was a really special day." Oh the worries of a nine year old. I was really grateful for the stories that you told of Sarah and for the great Testimony that you both bore. Thank you for sharing with us. We love you and continue to keep you in our prayers.

Dearest Family Giles:

While I cannot imagine a sorrow deeper than the passing of a child, when looking at your funeral pics, I couldn't help but wonder how devastating missing Sarah will be to her siblings too.

May The Great Comforter soothe all your hearts and souls - each and everyone.

Sincerely,

Thank you for sharing these special pictures with us. I'm sorry I wasn't able to come to Sarah's viewing. You have taught me so much Christine. You are a great example of strength, faith and perserverance. You have taught me not to take my children for granted and to hug them a little tighter and a little longer. Thank you. Your family has been in our prayers and will continue to be.

Your pictures are beautiful, but once again I am crying. I send you thoughts of hugs and chocolate - which often dulls the pain. We love you!

Christine, my dear friend.
I think of you often and hope for your happiness and peace. Kinz got a new little doll for Christmas and asked if she could name her Sarah. I told her that would be perfect. Love to you all.

I am not sure if you remember me, but I just wanted to write you a quick note to tell you that you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard the news about the passing of your sweet girl. My heart aches for you but I am glad that you have found comfort in the arms of our Savior.
